Privacy policy
Effective 22 October 2026
Fievel is an open source plugin and repository that helps you build a content system with your coding agent. This policy covers the Fievel plugin for Claude Code, Codex and GitHub Copilot, the Fievel repository and this website.
What Fievel collects
Fievel has no accounts, analytics, telemetry or advertising, and keeps none of your content. Its Python tools, its local tool server and the pages it generates run on your computer and make no network requests. The only exception is the optional hosted server described below, which processes content without keeping it.
Fievel's hosted server
The Fievel plugin for Codex and ChatGPT can use a hosted Fievel server to validate a content system and run literal checks. When your agent uses it, it sends the files and saved responses needed for that request. The server processes them in memory, returns the result and discards them. It stores no content, has no accounts and does not log what you send. Its host, Google Cloud, may record technical information such as IP addresses, request times and paths, as described in the Google Cloud Privacy Notice. The Claude Code plugin does not use the hosted server.
Where your files are stored
Your content system is saved as files in the folder you choose. Fievel does not save projects inside the installed plugin and does not copy them anywhere else. Your project files can include personal data you enter, such as the names of content owners and reviewers, and anything in the sources you bring in. That data stays in your folder. Pages Fievel generates, such as the system viewer and review forms, embed your project data. Anyone you share those files with can read that data.
Your coding agent
Fievel runs inside a coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex or GitHub Copilot. Anything you or Fievel read into the conversation, including your source documents, is processed by that agent's provider under its own terms and privacy policy. Only bring sources you are authorized to use.
Installing dependencies
Fievel needs Python and the jsonschema package. If you approve it, Fievel installs jsonschema from the Python Package Index into a folder in your workspace. That download is between your computer and the Python Package Index.
This website
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and loads no analytics or third party scripts. GitHub may log technical information, such as IP addresses, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
